Gun Control Advocate James Brady Dies At Age 73

Former White House press secretary James Brady, a long-time gun control advocate who survived after being shot in the head during the assassination attempt on President Reagan in 1981, has died at the age of 73.

As a result of this shooting, Brady went on to start the Brady Campaign to Prevent Handgun Violence.

His family released a statement in which they say he died as a result of “a series of health issues”.
