SURPRISE! New York SAFE Act Turns Out Not To Be What Was Promised

ALBANY, NEW YORK — In an obvious ‘I told ya so’ moment, some statistics are in regarding some violent crime in the Empire state. And it doesn’t seem the SAFE Act is keeping anyone safe.

The SAFE Act was passed in the dead of night on January 15th 2013, and we’ve now had over two years to gather some statistics. So how do some of the numbers look?

Not good.

The New York Times first reported last week that shootings in New York City have been rising for the past two years.

This was followed by the NYPD reporting a 19.5% increase in City homicides during the first five months of the year.

Now, according to WABC News Ch. 7, felony assaults on the subway are up 27%.

If you ask Cuomo, he’s likely to tell you that “It’s working, it just needs time.” I’m not exactly sure what he thought would happen after a few years of his bogus gun control laws, but the rest of us saw this coming from a mile away.

Not to mention the fact that no one will release the numbers that show how many residents have registered their ‘assault weapons’. I’m guessing that’s because the numbers are embarrassingly low.
